IMPORTANT REMINDER: Your gear will be physically moved several times before reaching your outpost destination. Restrict weight and size of gear to be safe and manageable.
PACKING REGULATIONS
Before arriving in Armstrong:
Weigh and Clearly Label all gear with your “group name, weight and outpost” destination.
No loose or open items such as shoes or grocery bags.
All loose items must be packed in containers/boxes and safely secured for the flight.
Coolers } medium size only / secure lids with packing tape
Duffle Bags } medium size only / ensure all gear is inside
Plastic Bins } medium size only / secure lids with packing tape
Tackle Boxes } secure with lock or packing tape / small or medium only
Rod Holders } 8 foot max.length. / secure with packing tape
Fishing Rods } hooks & reels must be detached and stored / rods must be secured in bunches
Cases of Beer & Soda } secure cases with packing tape / no glass bottles
HELPFUL PACKING TIPS:
Pack in medium sized, square cardboard boxes & square plastic containers.
Replace glass containers with plastic whenever possible.
Drain coolers of all excess water.
Pack sleeping bag with life jacket together in a garbage bag.
Pack goods in small sturdy cardboard boxes label with outpost and group name.
Pack dry goods in Ziploc bags to cut back on “bulk space”. Drain out Air.
Pack juice crystals & frozen juice in place of already mixed drinks.
